Employers Must Comply to the Law: An Interview with Paul Kramer

New and amended employment laws seem to be constantly on the rise in the United States, and 2021 will be no different. Employers must stay current with these new regulations or possibly face substantial liability through employee lawsuits and agency charges. With this in mind, Jim Stroud interviews Paul Kramer – Director of Compliance at WorkForce Software – to discuss what businesses should know about compliance and employment laws at the outset of 2021. Jim Stroud also laments the absence of Courtney Lane who does a better interviewing job than him. Tune in for a special episode.

Some questions asked:

  • Can companies legally compel employees to take a vaccination shot?
  • Can companies compel their employees not to discuss politics in the office?
  • Any cautionary tales on companies who do not take compliance seriously?
  • Why hire employees if you can't trust them? (Referring to companies buying employee surveillance tools.)
