Last year, in the spring of 2023, I decided to temporarily close Proactive Talent during the economic downturn that began in Q2 of 2022. This allowed me to take a step back after an intense entrepreneurial run of growth and pivoting during a pandemic, prioritize my health and family, and reflect on how I wanted to move forward in this rapidly evolving industry. During this time, I also took the opportunity to recharge and travel with my family, upskill with some new certifications, and start a post-grad program on AI & Machine Learning at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
This year, I've been actively meeting with dozens of HR Tech vendors and analysts in in our space both new and established and researching what the future of talent acquisition and employer branding will look like in an era dominated by AI and automation. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to tackle some of the persistent challenges that have plagued our industry for many years and I believe the time is now.
Today, I am thrilled to announce that Proactive Talent is officially reopening, but with a fresh focus. I've spent the past 6 months honing our services, improving our offerings, and rebuilding our brand to better serve companies navigating today’s hiring challenges and they may continue to evolve as we go.
